Shri Amrit Lal Parashar took his last breath on April 28, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by family and his loved ones.

He was born in Sultanpur Lodi, India but eventually settled in New Delhi with his wife, Kamla (deceased) and two children Rakesh (Neeru) and Sujata (Mahinder). He's survived by his younger brother (Ramesh), 2 children, 5 grand children and 5 great grand children.

Kind, humble, and always smiling, he was a devout husband and a loving father. He retired after years of dedication to various departments of Indian Defense service including EME and DGBR.

He immigrated to Canada in 1982 where he was the source of wisdom and inspiration for his 5 grand children Vivek (Kavita), Amol (Elissa), Jyotsna (Ashlyn), Shikha (Bhalinder) and Shuchi. He saw them grow up to become successful in their respective careers. Papa Ji was always playful and loved to become a child himself with his 5 great grand children Ashon, Sahil, Niharika, Ayden, and Aaron. Having lived a long joyful life experiencing the world for almost a full century, he was an institution in himself.

He will always be remembered by his loving, charismatic nature and guidance founded in practical spiritual teachings. From elderly to children alike he treated everyone with unconditional love. Though he will always be in our hearts, his presence will be missed immensely.
