I was was way too upset to give a speech in person.

I am one of Jasvinders longtime friends since our grade school days who has still kept in touch with him until this day. I grew up with Jasvinder and I know that deep down inside even to this day, I know that he was still a jolly green giant like my dad called him in his younger days.
I first met Jasvinder when we lived in Oakville and like all young kids we use to do pranks from his balcony and we all played basketball in his driveway with all our other friends in the neighborhood. When we did pranks from Ravi’s room, he always kicked us out because we were just little kids up to no good. We did what all kids did, play games, trade comics, and argue with each other during sports, and we also use to slap each other on the back like our uncles did and call each other papay. As time went on I saw him move away but I still kept in touch with him during high school and we still got to still see each other’s experiences.
We always saw each other demons but the light always shined through when we hung out with one another. I can still recall all the times I stood on rocks, benches and stoops just to try and match his massive height, only for him to remind me that I was really short with boots on. I always went out of my way to see Jasvinder and even during our fights we always treated each other like brothers and made up quickly.
Fast forward to today, I last saw Jasvinder last week when we went to watch a basketball game together and the Avengers movie during the same night. Even though we were cheering for the opposite teams, at the end of the day we were still on the same side. I know that he had a great night because before we parted we embraced like brothers and said lets meet up again. I know he is getting everything he wanted in the afterlife and is resting peacefully. I will see you again brother. Rest in paradise.
